A Camden native pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud on Thursday after printing counterfeit U.S. Treasury checks.
According to court documents and statements made in court, 25-year-old Arthur Jerome Eldridge had conspired with others to print the counterfeit checks before depositing them at area banks and withdrawing funds from those accounts.
Eldridge is scheduled to be sentenced on June 26 and faces a maximum penalty of 30 years of prison with a $1 million fine.
A federal district judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
