On Tuesday the Mississippi State Department of Health confirmed 3,230 new COVID-19 cases.
The seven-day update brings the state’s total number of recorded cases since the onset of the pandemic to 981,020. With 32 additional deaths, 13,257 Mississippians have passed away as a result of the virus. Additionally, there are currently 129 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
Mississippi is currently averaging 554 daily cases, which is a 20% decrease from two weeks ago.
