OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss.–A 30-year, day for day sentence for raping a 12-year-old girl and taking pictures should keep Christopher Shaw, 29, of Ocean Springs, well-occupied. He got the sentence yesterday in Jackson County. Shaw also pleaded guilty to similar charges in Stone County.
The judge gave Shaw a 40-year sentence and suspended 10. He’ll also have to register as a sex offender for life.
Testimony showed the abuse happened starting in May 2013.
Shaw will also have to pay several thousand dollars in fines.
