Five individuals have been charged with felony child abuse after a video of daycare workers in North Mississippi scaring children with a mask went viral.
The video, which can be watched below, shows a masked employee at Lil Blessings’ Child Care & Learning Center in Hamilton going from classroom to classroom and yelling at the “bad” children. Children can be seen running, screaming, crying, and hiding as a result of the torture.
Four workers at the daycare were fired after the video gained popularity on social media.
The employees, Sierra McCandless, Oci-Anna Kilburn, Jennifer Newman and Shyenne Shelton, have each been charged with three counts of felony child abuse. Traci Hutson is facing two misdemeanors for failure to report abuse and simple assault against a minor.
No charges have been filed against the owner of the daycare as of now.
