GULFPORT, Miss.- Former state lawmaker and father of the Court of Appeals judge, Roger Ishee passed away at the age of 85. Ishee was the father of Court of Appeals Judge David Ishee.
He passed away on Sunday in New Orleans, but the cause of death has not yet been released. Born in Dushau, Mississippi, Ishee attended Louisiana State University before serving in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Ishee was elected to the house in 1997, and served until his retirement in 2012. He was also a computer and electronic instructor.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Gulfport.
