PONTOTOC, Miss.–Heart attack symptoms hit Sheriff Leo Mask, of Pontotoc County, Saturday morning, so he drove himself to the hospital. Mask was flown from the hospital in Pontotoc to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
The chief deputy of the department, Randy Roberts, told WTVA that the sheriff had a massive heart attack and had surgery Saturday afternoon.
He was moved out of ICU and was doing ok.
Roberts asked for prayers for Mask and his family.
