GUNTOWN, MISS– Three kids are now in the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center for lifting and eventually wrecking a car into a barn.
Sheriff Jim Johnson tells WTVA that the three were found in the car in the barn around 7am this morning, but it appeared that the wreck had happened around 2am.
Johnson says the owner of the barn found the wreckage this morning, then called police.
The car had been stolen, and the three took it for a joyride. They crashed into the barn, not realizing the road was a dead end.
The three names will not be released because they are underage. They’re in the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting court.
