LAMAR, Miss.–A Marshall County deputy was shot in the arm overnight near the community of Lamar. He was taken to the hospital in Memphis and was in stable condition. Meanwhile, deputies were in a stand-off with the person who did the shooting. That stand-off ended shortly before 6 a.m., with the suspect in cuffs.
There were armored vehicles and a SWAT team at the scene near Hwy. 72, reported several Memphis news outlets.
The deputy was serving a warrant when he was shot. That happened at about 12:30 a.m. Monday on Winding Creek Rd.
