If you’ve ever wanted to be in a movie with Morgan Freeman, this could be your chance.
A comedic noir called The Minute You Wake Up Dead, which is currently being filmed in Canton, stars Morgan Freeman, Cole Hauser, and Jaimie Alexander. Freeman will take on the role of a small-town sheriff.
“The town of Canton, Mississippi, although we’re not calling it Canton, plays a big role in the film. So, this was an ideal place to make the movie,” movie producer Andrew Stevens told WLBT.
As Hollywood continues to meet hospitality in the Magnolia State, The Minute You Wake Up Dead also has a handful of Mississippi residents behind the scenes, including casting director Matthew Morgan.
