Man Facing Federal Charges for Cocaine, Heroin Distribution Conspiracy

GULFPORT, Miss.- A man in Gulfport is awaiting his trail on federal criminal charges in an alleged conspiracy to distribute heroin and cocaine across Harrison County. The Sun Herald reports that 42-year-old Omar Dancer has been accused of conspiracy to distribute five kilos of cocaine and one kilo of heroin in Harrison County, dating back to as early as February of last year.

He was indicted on February 5th by a grand jury on “conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance and attempt to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance.”

He was denied bond by Magistrate Judge John C. Gargiulo after his initial court appearance.

His trial is set for July, and until then he will be spending his time in the Harrison County Jail.
