If it saves one life, Hancock Whitney’s CEO says it’s worth it.
On Thursday’s Coast Vue with Ricky Matthews on SuperTalk Mississippi, John Hairston announced a progressive effort to encourage employees to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
During the interview, Hairston said that they will compensate employees who have been vaccinated, to date and going forward, $150 towards achieving a 75 to 80% vaccination rate within the company.
But wait, there’s more.
Hairston said, “To make it fun, every two weeks, once a proof of vaccination is provided, we will draw names and give people 10-grand. When we get to the end, we’ll have another drawing for 100-thousand dollars.”
“If we can save one life, just one life, by spending a little money to generate that internal interest, it’s well worth it,” said Hairston. “Whether it’s one of our people, their family, or someone who comes across one of our folks, it’s worth it to me for the benefit of our team, our investors, and our communities.”
