Infinity Funeral Home in Biloxi is beginning a new program intended to honor deceased veterans and provide dignified disposal of retired American flags. Infinity Funeral Home is collecting worn and tattered flags that will be used in cremation or burial of United States veterans, in compliance with US Flag code.
The donated flags will be used to drape the body of deceased veterans as a final symbol of their service. In addition, one star from the flag will be harvested prior to burial or cremation and presented to the family as a lasting symbol of their loved one’s service.
To honor every veteran, we serve, Infinity needs the community’s help. Since Flag Day is Monday, June 14th, this is a great opportunity for our community to retire their flag and honor a service member. Retired flags may be brought to Infinity Funeral Home Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm.
Retire Your Flag with Honor is an ongoing program of Infinity Funeral Home. We encourage the community to donate flags year-round. For more information, contact our office at (228) 436-6722.
