KILN, Miss.- A mother, father, and son have all been arrested after Hancock county narcotics agents seized 22 marijuana plants growing outside their home. The Hancock County Narcotics Task Force, along with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics discovered the plants at a home in the 5000 block of Broken Arrow Drive.
Doyle and Deborah Duncan, both 50, along with their son, 18-year-old Davis Duncan, were all arrested on one charge of cultivation of marijuana. Davis also faces a charge of tampering with evidence. He apparently tried to flush marijuana down the toilet during a search of the home.
Task force commander Jeremy Skinner told the Sun Herald that a “grow room” was found in the attic, along with other plants throughout the rest of the house. He also said that the attic was insulated, and appeared to be equipped solely for making high-grade marijuana.
The mother and son were arrested first, and then the father when he went to the jail in an attempt to bail them out.
