HATTIESBURG, Miss.–People are already being warned about a scam involving the murder of Officer Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate in Hattiesburg. The city and the police department have said people got phone calls the day after saying they were taking up donations and they need bank account info.
Do not give them your information, warned the city.
The callers asked specifically that you give them your bank account number. The City of Hattiesburg Tweeted about the scam Sunday.
