Soon, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will decide whether or not to give an emergency use authorization to Johnson and Johnson for its one-dose coronavirus vaccine.
A report by the FDA says the vaccine is about 66 percent effective at preventing moderate to severe COVID-19.
On Friday, an advisory committee will meet to decide if the 66 percent is strong enough. If the committee agrees that it is, the FDA will make a final decision soon thereafter.
Once approved, a few million doses are expected to be shipped within the first week.
This vaccine can be stored at normal refrigeration temperatures for three months.
