Murder With a Beer Bottle and a Board, Man Arrested in Calhoun County

CALHOUN CITY, Miss.–You don’t often hear of someone being murdered with a beer bottle and a board, but drugs apparently can cause people to do terrible things. Randy Anderson, 46, of Derma, is in the Calhoun County lockup, expected to be charged with murdering his drug dealer Friday night.

Sheriff Greg Pollan told WTVA that Anderson admitted in an interview Sunday morning that he had been using drugs Friday night and went to Calhoun City to buy some more. That’s where he met up with William Duff, 42.

Duff either did not have any drugs on him or refused to sell them to Anderson.

Anderson said he snapped and stabbed Duff with the broken beer bottle and finished him off with a two by four.

Court is Tuesday for Anderson. First degree murder is the charge.
