The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting the state’s largest one-day increase in new COVID-19 cases.
The latest report of 1,972 new cases brings the state’s total up to 142,401. With the confirmation of 15 additional deaths, *3,657 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.

Hospitalizations continue to climb back up toward the highs of the summer peak.
The number of active outbreaks in Mississippi long-term care facilities, which had dropped to as low as 105 on November 9th, is now up to 173.
