MADISON, Miss– Madison Police Department was notified Thursday that Lieutenant Edwin Lawrence had died.
Lawrence was riding his bicycle on a bike trail in Ridgeland when he collapsed, says a statement from Madison Police Department.
Lawrence was taken to St. Dominic’s where he died of natural causes.
Lawrence served in law enforcement for twenty-three years–twenty of those with Madison Police. He also served in the military.
Breeland Funeral Home in Canton is handling the arrangements. The services will be Monday, April 27th.
