NEW ORLEANS, La. – A 21-year-old transgender man is suing a Mississippi based financial loan company for sex discrimination.
Tristan Broussard claims he was forced to leave his job at First Tower Loan’s Lake Charles, Louisiana office once managers learned he was born a woman but was living as a man. In the suit filed Monday, Broussard said the executive of the company demanded he dress and act like a woman and after refusing, Broussard said he was fired in March of 2013. He’s asking that the company pay damages to him.
Tower Loan is based in Flowood, Miss. And has offices in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Illinois.
