JACKSON, Miss– Baseball and golf ball sized hail in the Delta yesterday did a good bit of damage. There’s a little break in the severe weather, but it could get bad again come good Friday.
“We’re worried about high winds and hail, mostly in North Mississippi,” says Greg Garrett with the National Weather Service.
Wednesday and Thursday there’s a small chance of rain and thunderstorms all across the state. It’s because of a cold front. Highs in the low 80’s Wednesday and Thursday, but Saturday the highs are only in the 60’s and low 70’s.
Garrett says that right now, tornadoes aren’t the concern for this week.
“I’m not going to rule that out,,” says Garrett, “but this is a high wind and hail event.”
