Mississippi State got all it wanted and a lot more Thursday night at the Humphrey Coliseum, as LSU battled back from a 20 point deficit in the third quarter and forced the Bulldogs to sweat out a 64-60 win. State was led by Jordan Danberry with 16 points, and Jessika Carter added a double double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. After the game, Coach Vic Schaefer, Danberry, Carter, and Andra Espinoza-Hunter spoke with the media about a gritty win.

Mississippi State improves to 16-2 overall, 4-0 in the SEC. The tenth ranked Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday for a huge showdown with #1 South Carolina in Columbia, as the two programs that have dominated women’s basketball in the SEC the past five seasons will do battle one more time. Tipoff is set for 6 PM Central.
