Thirteen years ago, Scott Burns, a Marine Corps Veteran, planned his first “7 Days for The Troops” event to raise money for veterans in need. What started as a passion project to bring awareness to disabled veterans before and after 9/11 has turned into a movement.
Each year, “7 Days for The Troops” events give 100% of the proceeds to a charity serving veterans. Purple Heart Homes, Gold Star Families Memorial Monument planned for Veterans Memorial Park, and the Marine Corps League are recent recipients.
