Tanya T, our in-house movie critic, joined the conversation to discuss a couple movies that are hitting theaters this weekend and to talk about what you might expect if you make your way to the movies!
Uncle Drew is a basketball movie that features NBA and WNBA stars in make-up to look elderly as they take on much younger basketball upstarts in a street-ball tournament in Harlem. Tanya says your teens will probably love it, but because it is PG-13, you probably shouldn’t send your little ones to see it.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado is an action thriller that features the talents of Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin as they fight against Mexican Drug Cartels that are smuggling terrorists into the United States. Tanya says the action in this movie is top notch, but it still manages to be outdone by the acting of the top-tier talent of Del Toro and Brolin.
