JACKSON, Miss. – University of Mississippi Chancellor Dan Jones , who was diagnosed with lymphoma nearly three months ago, continues to improve.
He made it known this week his doctors have told him that recent scans show no sign of the cancer. Jones, who’s being taken care of at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, has about a month of treatments remaining.
He has been staying in Hazlehurst since his recovery began November 6. While he continues to serve as the school’s leader from an office in Jackson, many of his duties are being done by other administrators in Oxford.
