With my back strain almost fully recovered, I was able to work out my legs and do some more stretching with Coach Kilgore today, and we even had a special guest join us for the workout, the Millsaps Athletics Director Donnie Brooks! I have nothing against working out with Dawn, because throughout our fitness journey, Dawn has both pushed me and encouraged me, but working out alongside a former college offensive lineman with a similar build to mine offered a new challenge that had both of us catching our breath by the end. Because the workouts have been focused more on recovery and rehabilitation this week, I’ve got a feeling my weigh in will be a little disappointing tomorrow, but that is OK. If I put on a few extra pounds, it just means I have a few more to lose!
