JACKSON, Miss. — A child is still recovering today from a Saturday hit and run in the capital city. According to witnesses the child was playing in the front yard of his home, when he went to retrieve his ball out of the street he was hit by a car that proceeded on.
According to Jackson Police Officer Collendula Green the 9-year-old Cartavious Kendrick suffered a broken leg and bruises around his body, but is now back home recovering.
Authorities are now looking for the driver of a Silver or White Chevy Impala that was involved. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS
