OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss.–It doesn’t talk, chirp or do anything for that matter, so why someone took a crow that was meant for public viewing continues to confound the Public Arts Project of Ocean Springs who erected the sculpture just over a month ago.
The crow is part of a project to place artistic objects in public places around the city. It was discovered missing on Mother’s Day when a Project member took a relative to see it and it was not there.
The sculpture was created by artist Vicki Banks and is valued at $7,000. As of now, the Project has no money to offer a reward for its return, but is asking for the public’s help in getting the bird back. If you can help, text CSTIP to 274637.
