JACKSON, Miss– The United States Postal Service announces that package delivery will take place seven days a week around twenty-one Mississippi cities to accommodate for the growth in the holiday shipping season.
Getting deliveries on Sundays. It’ll give you a little extra time to ship and it will keep things going in the USPS despite the extreme shipping growth during the holiday season. The seven-day-a-week delivery starts Black Friday (November 28) and runs through Christmas Day.
“The Postal Service ships more packages to more places than anyone else,” said Mississippi District Manager Elizabeth Johnson. “During the holidays, we’re raising the bar with enhanced tracking and seven-day package delivery, providing excellent service and reliability that only Santa can compete with.”
The following Mississippi Post Offices will be included in the seven-days-a-week delivery efforts:

Canton Clinton Corinth Grenada
Gulfport Main Office Hattiesburg Main Office Jackson LeFleur Sta. Madison

Even though the seven day delivery will help with the increased shipping volume across the state, there are still deadlines people need to know when shipping their gifts:
- Dec. 2 – First-Class Mail International/Priority Mail International
- Dec. 10 – Priority Mail Express International
- Dec. 15 – Standard Post
- Dec. 17 – Global Express Guaranteed[1]
- Dec. 20 – First-Class Mail/Priority Mail (domestic)
- Dec. 23 – Priority Mail Express (domestic)
