CLARA, Miss. – A missing Idaho woman has been found, disoriented but alive, in the Mississippi town where she grew up.
Cynthia Adams, 52, was found at a home deep in the woods outside of Clara, which is about 20 miles west of the Alabama state line.
Police said she didn’t remember her family in Idaho and couldn’t remember how she got to the town, where her father was a minister in the 1960s. She did remember most of the people she grew up with, including the family that lived in the home where she showed up Saturday morning. She told them she had spent the night in the parking lot of her father’s old church. Wayne County deputies said Adams is lucky the same people were at the house as in the ’60s.
Her husband is expected to fly to Mississippi to pick her up.
