TUPLEO, Miss.–A change is coming in the weather for this weekend and northern counties are going to feel it the most. It’s a cold front coming from Canada and it’s bringing with it a free sample of fall.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Jim Branda said you’ll have to put up with some showers and maybe a couple of storms Thursday, but by Friday you’ll notice the much less heavy air.
“Real nice cooler and drier air mass coming in from Friday through Sunday,” he said. “We’re looking for highs in the upper 70s to around 80.”
He said lows could be in the mid 50s in some spots in north central Mississippi to 60 in the north delta.
Central and south will probably not see temps that low, but the air will be drier and you will see a cutoff at about 90 over the weekend.
