STARKVILLE, Miss.–After a blowout last week against Southern, the Mississippi State Bulldogs are hosting the University of Alabama Birmingham in Starkville. Meanwhile the Ole Miss Rebels travel to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt, and Southern hosts Alcorn in Hattiesburg.
“You know they’re gonna be well-coached on all sides of the ball. They’re gonna be innovative offensively,” said Bill Clark, head coach at UAB, talking about MSU on Head to Head.
“You’ve always got the physical stature that State brings. Besides great, skilled people, you’ve got a quarterback that has a chance to win the Heisman, so that’s unreal and defensively, Coach Collins and those guys have done a great job taking the next step defensively.”
You can catch the game Saturday at 1 on ESPN 3. Last week, the UAB Blazers beat Troy State.
The Vandy Commodores are getting ready to host Ole Miss and that game will be at 3:30 on ESPN. The Rebs beat Boise State last week 35-13 and are favorites this week.
“If you’re a Vandy fan, the only thing you’re thinking and counting on is, hey, we’re gonna do like South Carolina. We were terrible the first week, we’re embarrassed and we’re mad. Therefore, we’re gonna make this huge jump from week one to week two. We’re gonna catch ’em slipping,” said Matt Wyatt, with Head to Head.
