MADISON COUNTY, Miss. — The search for missing teenager Katelyn Beard is over. Police found the body of the 17-year-old Tuesday morning in a rural area of Madison County.
She was last seen in Jackson with Dewayne Thompson Sunday morning. An Amber Alert was issued for her that night. Jackson police had said Beard had been shot. Her car was found Monday and hours later Thompson was arrested.
