BILOXI, Miss.–Maybe Chris McDaniel should just drop the whole thing and not take his challenge of the Senate race to court. That was more than a suggestion from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in his Wednesday visit to the Mississippi coast, where he was flanked by Gov. Phil Bryant. These news briefs should get you where you want to go:
CHRIS CHRISTIE VISIT
You’ve got some darn good public servants, that’s what Chris Christie says. The governor of New Jersey was on the Miss. coast Wednesday and shook hands with state troopers and other emergency workers who went to Jersey after Sandy. Christie was here to help out the Republican Governor’s Association. He’s on tour of all the red states as head of that organization. He complimented Gov. Phil Bryant, whom he campaigned for in 2011, and said he would do so again. Maybe McDaniel should quit and not take it to court. That seemed to be the message from Christie when he was asked about the Senate race.

PRINCIPAL SUSPENDED
Watch your fingers. Think before you text, it could get you in trouble. Long Beach High School Principal Peter Dabbs is suspended. The ex-husband of a teacher there, saying Dabbs was inapporpriately texting his wife. Dabbs denies and when he refused to turn over his cell phone is when he got in trouble.
HIGH SPEED CHASE
A High speed chase in Covington County and Terrica Jeffries wasn’t giving up easy. Police say she hit an officer with her car when she was stopped on 49. Oh, and they had to shoot to make her stop.
