CARTHAGE, Miss.–If you remember the story of Allen Lutrick, a 10-year-old boy who was hit and killed back in 2011 in Richland, the man who police said did it, has died.
Raymond Watts died of a heart attack, according to the Leake County coroner. Watts had a history of health issues and that’s the reason he never went to trial.
Lutrick was crossing the street to get on the bus to go to school when he was hit. Watts was arrested and charged with manslaughter and fleeing the scene.
Watts was 85.
