JACKSON, Miss.–It was five pounds of high-grade marijuana and all the stuff needed to properly distribute the drug, plus a gun found in a Sunday bust. The man arrested, Anthony Thompson, is also known as “Kool Aid”.
Even though he’s got a “kool” name, the guy is a known criminal and was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, in addition to the drug charges.
Those charges included possession with intent to distribute, and deputies said Thompson had scales and cell phones.
Sheriff Tyrone Lewis said that a tip came in and they followed the lead right to Kool Aid’s house. They made the pop Sunday evening.
Lewis said it’s part of a crackdown going on in the Jackson metro by JPD and the Hinds County Sheriff’s Dept.
