MISS MISSISSIPPI, FIRST NIGHT
Miss Mississippi, the first night in the competition in Vicksburg is done and these are the winners:
Randi-Kathryn Harmon, Miss Historic South won the swimwear, Jasmine Murray, Miss Riverland, and Laura Lee Lewis, Miss Mississippi State, tied in the talent competition. Those are the preliminaries. The last night of competition is Friday. Saturday, it’s the crown.
DRUG BUST NEAR PARK
It’s drugs that won’t be getting to your kids. Almost a pound of pot taken by Columbus PD when they searched Lawrence Dodd’s parked car near a park. He got a charge of selling pot within 1,500 feet of a park for that.
GAS DOWN
Gas has gone down even more today and if you’re in Ridgeland, you can shout praises, you can get it for under three bucks at the Pump and Save.

VICTORIA WILCHER EYE SURGERY
It’s a new prosthetic eye this week for Victoria Wilcher. She’s in Florida, where she’s gonna be for at least the rest of the week, getting fitted for that eye after she was mauled by pits this spring in Simpson County. The surgeon is doing it for free.
