JACKSON, Miss. – A former Hinds County deputy circuit clerk, Kimberly Gibson, is accused of creating a fake marriage license so that she could have a conjugal visit with an inmate.
Attorney General Jim Hood said Gibson, 32, also known as Kimberly Turner, was arrested last week after being indicted by a grand jury.
Gibson, who is single, allegedly signed the license to show she was married to the inmate when in reality she’s not.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections commissioner ended the conjugal visits for inmates as of February 1.
