JACKSON, Miss.- If you and your kids have never been to the Mississippi Children’s Museum you may want to round them up and go. Mississippi Children’s Museum in Jackson is opening a new $2 million exhibit Friday at noon called “The Literacy Garden”.
The exhibit will feature nine interactive exhibits to promote learning while playing. There is a 30 foot tree house that kids can read in, a giant story-telling mushroom, an amphitheater and there’s even a garden that kids can grow fruits and vegetables in. The new exhibit combines literacy, arts, health and nature to engage kids in a fun, interactive way.
The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $10 and children under one are admitted free. More details at: http://www.mississippichildrensmuseum.com/
