JACKSON, Miss.–It’s the primary run-off today for Mississippi Senate on the Republican side and for several local elections, but the weather knows no politics. You could see a storm when you go out to vote, especially in the afternoon.
Of course, that’s no excuse to stay away from the polls.
The northern two-thirds of Mississippi has the best rain chances, with a 50 to 60 percent chance of afternoon-type storms that have the potential for heavy rain, hail and lightening, so keep a watch out.
The southern third of the state has a 3 in 10 chance of a storm.
You can expect this type of weather for the rest of the week.
