Child Attacked by Pit Bulls Receives Free Medical Help

JACKSON, Miss. –The three-year-old girl asked to leave the KFC in Jackson because her scars were disturbing the customers will receive medical help for free.

Victoria Wilcher was attacked by three pit bulls at her grandfather’s house in Simpson County in April and was eating at KFC in Jackson last week with her grandmother when she was asked to leave by an employee there because her scars were disturbing the customers.

Wilcher’s story caught national attention, along with the attention of a plastic surgeon from Las Vegas who wants to help her out. The family met with Dr. Frank Stile over the weekend in Jackson and now his foundation has offered a grant to help cover the costs of future surgery and treatments to help her recover.

Dr. Frank Stile is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with an expertise in minimizing scars on professional fighters.

A doctor out of Florida and prosthetic specialist has also offered to donate a prosthetic eye to Victoria, and KFC has promised $30,000 to offset medical expenses.

They plan to transport Victoria to Florida in the next week or two to get her new eye.
