PASCAGOULA, Miss.- Not everyone is cut out to be a parent and this is another example of that. A Pascagoula woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for physically abusing her three-month-old daughter.
Erica Folmar was arrested in November after the infant was taken to Singing River Hospital in critical condition with injuries, including multiple skull fractures.
Folmar pleaded guilty Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court to three counts of felony child abuse from incidents involving her infant daughter from July 19 through Nov. 19, 2013.
She was sentenced to 25 years for each count. The sentences will run concurrently.
