OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss will meet Virginia Sunday in the College World Series.
It’s the fifth trip to Omaha for the Rebels, but their first since 1974. Virginia was last in Omaha in 2011, their third trip to the CWS.
The two teams have met six times before, with the Rebels holding a 2-4 record.
The Rebels have the most hits (697) of any team in the CWS. But Virginia is the highest remaining overall seed (No. 3) in the tournament, and a preseason favorite to wind up there.
The two will face off at 7 p.m.
