Toddler Shot and Killed, You Are Being Asked to Help Find the Killer

JACKSON, Miss.–A three-year-old was shot and killed last month and now police and Hinds County supervisors are hoping that doubling the reward will help bring whoever did the shooting in, in cuffs.

Amon Burton died last month when somebody unloaded 30 rounds into his dad’s house. WAPT TV reported Monday that Hinds County supervisors voted to add $1,000 to the usual $1,000 offered by Crimestoppers to help bring in people who have committed crimes.

That brings the total to $2,000.

“I think this is something (for which) we have to show outrage, (and show) that we are not going to stand for this as a community and as a county,” Supervisor Robert Graham told the TV station. He has been involved in law enforcement for many years.

If you have info that could help, call 601-355-TIPS.
