JACKSON, Miss. –Mississippi has the summer heat and the summer humidity is following behind. Tuesday, rains are expected across the state in the afternoon and evening hours. According to National Weather Service Meteorologist Allen Campbell some showers could stick around overnight and rains are expected every day this week.
“At the moment it doesn’t look like there is anything like widespread flash flooding, looking further back across portions of western Mississippi, near Greenville, Vicksburg Natchez, that area. There is a possibility of seeing a storm or two on the strong side,” said Campbell.
Campbell says the next day for guaranteed sunshine will be this weekend, but on Saturday and Sunday there is still a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain.
