WIGGINS, Miss.- A man was tased outside the Piggly Wiggly in Wiggins for stealing steaks around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.
An employee saw Jai Kawana Buckhalter trying to leave the store with two packages of steaks he didn’t pay for. Apparently the guy tried to hit the employee with the steaks as he ran out of the store when he confronted him.
Police came and chased the guy when they spotted a man fitting the description of the steak thief running down Central Avenue. He started to run into the woods, threw a package of steak at the officer and then he went down from there. The officer tased the man, he was arrested and the steaks were returned.
Buckhalter was charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for the theft of $19.66 in steaks.
