JACKSON, Miss.–How would you like to go faster on the interstate? Legally, that is. A bill being considered in the Mississippi House would give the Dept. of Transportation the authority to up the limit on interstates in Mississippi from 70 to 75 mph.
House Bill 335 would start that in July, if it becomes law.
Last year a similar bill died in the legislature.
The bill would not allow for an increase on the state’s highways. That would stay at 65.
