Authorities have identified the six-year-old who passed away after being pulled from the Ross Barnett Reservoir over the weekend.
Logan Love was discovered in the water at Lakeshore Park in Brandon on Saturday afternoon with first responders jumping in, getting him out, and transporting him to a local hospital. Hours later, at around 5:30 p.m., Love died while at Merit Health River Oaks.
Family members of Love have gone to social media asking for thoughts and prayers.
No other information regarding the incident has been released at this time. Officials continue to urge people to be safe in and around water this Memorial Day.
