The Natchez-Adams County Humane Society and Historic Jefferson College have teamed up to host a 5k run to raise money for the humane society.
This isn’t your traditional 5k. The course will take place along the nature trails of HJC as well as some of their other property. Its the second annual Trail Run for the Animals.
It will be hosted on January 16th 2016 and participants can expect to get a little muddy but organizers think that will make it all the more fun.
Volunteers are requested to help. If you want to give out water or direct runners where to go. They also need people helping with registration, time keeping and scoring. The event is scheduled rain or shine.
If you want to sign up there is a $25 registration fee. Participants will receive a t-shirt and snacks after the race. If you are a walker and not a runner you’re still invited to come and join in on the race.
