JACKSON, Miss. – AAA is expecting more than 46 million Americans to travel over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
The number of more people expected to travel this year is up .6 percent or 300,000. This marks the seventh year in a row holiday travel has gone up.
Driving is still king when it comes to holiday travel as 42 million Americans are expected to hit the roads. Air travel is only expected to go up by one percent as 3.6 million passengers take to the sky.
According to Don Redmon with AAA, a strong economy mixed with low gas prices is the main reasons you’ll see more motorists out on the road this week.
