Two big lottery wins in Mississippi remain unclaimed, one of which is a $4 million Mega Million ticket purchased in Byram.
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation announced Tuesday that the $4 million winning ticket was purchased at Byram Chevron ahead of the Jan. 3 Mega Millions drawing. The lucky player has until July 2 to claim the prize.
The other outstanding ticket yet to be turned in was a $500,000 winning Powerball ticket purchased at the Broadway Mart in McComb on Aug. 13. The person who purchased that ticket has less than a month to claim the half a million dollars with the ticket expiring on Feb. 9.
Tuesday night’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $1.1 billion, or $568.7 million cash.
